The Geography

Egypt was built around one thing: the Nile River. Every year it flooded, leaving rich soil behind. That soil grew the food that fed the builders of the pyramids. Find the Nile on a map โ€” notice which direction it flows and where it empties into the sea.

Map notes:
The Nile flows [direction].
It empties into [sea].
The flood helped Egypt because [reason].
02

The Power Structure

Egypt was ruled by pharaohs โ€” considered gods on earth. Below them: priests, scribes, craftsmen, farmers, laborers. Write this hierarchy top to bottom in your own words. Why do you think scribes โ€” people who could read and write โ€” ranked higher than farmers?

Top to bottom: [your hierarchy].
Scribes ranked higher because [your reason].

Your Field Report

The pyramids at Giza were built around 2560 BCE. That is over 4,500 years ago. Using only hand tools and human labor, workers moved stones weighing up to 80 tons. Write 2โ€“3 sentences: what impresses you most, and what question would you want answered if you could go back in time?

What impresses me most is [your observation].
My time-travel question would be [your question].

Complete all three steps first.
